It's time for your monthly check-in from your accountability partner! Have you been being nice to yourself (and your skin) lately? Most of you know, I strongly dislike (most) things trendy. Especially as it pertains to skincare. Right now, the trend is “glass skin” or perfect skin.
Wouldn’t you agree that we already have enough in the world to stress about?
Did you know that your skin has six major functions: secretion, heat regulation, excretion, sensation, protection, absorption. So, your skin is already very busy trying to do its jobs, which means it doesn’t have time for you to nitpick at it. (Imagine your boss hounding you to operate perfectly, when you already have a million other things to do!)
Remember, the goal here is not perfect skin, it’s healthy skin. Healthy skin usually looks pretty dang good, so you’ll achieve your goal regardless!
I encourage + challenge you, this last month of Summer, to save the stress. In the fall, we can begin more progressive, corrective treatments again. But, in the meantime, bask in the sun (with SPF, of course), enjoy time with friends and family, and eat foods that nourish you!
